In this technology video, we will show you how to setup EIGRP Over the Top (OTP). OTP is a technology feature that allows EIGRP routers to peer together over a service provider network that is not running EIGRP. Normally we can accomplish this by setting up IPSec GRE or VTI tunnels and running EIGRP that way. Or using maybe use DMVPN, GET VPN, or FlexVPN on Cisco routers. Another option is setting up EIGRP OTP.

The objective in this video is to configure OTP between two CE routers that are connected to our lab Internet cloud. We will confirm if there are EIGRP routes for the LAN subnets injected in the routing table on both routers. Once we are done we should be able to reach the LAN at both sites. We will also setup MD5 authentication to secure our EIGRP adjacency between the CE routers as a best practice.
